☛ After the unexpected end of the Psycho Thrill BNKR in March 2016, a rapid continuation of the relevant sound agenda and philosophy in regular form did not seem to be possible again at once. It was all the more surprising fact then that Claus Bachor`s first gig in Düsseldorf`s Golzheim in November 2016 led into a cool and fruitful cooperation as well with Daniel Fritschi`s own "Rohbau" series that became via further "Rohbau X Psycho Thrill" affiliates such as "Detroit Legends" or "Sex Love & Motion" one of the most consistent and clearly identifiable seriously Techno informed club series in the entire Rhine Area in all classic terms of Techno, Acid, sinister House and Electro / HiTech-Funk. ☛☛ ALTSTADT ECHO Biography: In the last five years, Altstadt Echo has accomplished what most up-and-coming artists only talk about: a handful of vinyl and cassette releases, performances at respected clubs and festivals like Tresor, Griessmuehle, and MOVEMENT Detroit, and the curation of an event series - MODERN CATHEDRALS presents EDEN - that has become a fixture of local underground culture. His musical signature combines lamenting and ethereal atmospheres with eroded, broken-beat percussion. Drawing inspiration from 20th century literature, Altstadt Echo imbues his music with somber reflection on the process of trying to create meaning in modern life. Most recently, he released his debut full-length album on the SEMANTICA Records label - nine tracks built entirely from a single 16th century choral acapella. He`s been remixed by electronic music leaders across the world - from Erika and Terrence Dixon in Detroit to Anthony Linell and Varg in Europe. He`s been called "Detroit techno`s new guard" by Resident Advisor, "the avant-garde element to Detroit Techno" by SPIN Magazine, and "one of Detroit`s fastest rising electronic music names" by the Detroit Free Press.
ST.CONCRETE Biography: St. Concrete is a new alias by Altstadt Echo, one of the founders and curators of the Modern Cathedrals event series and record label. Under this name, the artist crafts dub techno with a lighter touch than his previous project, and incorporates more inspiration from his time in Detroit. Following the release of his debut album on the SEMANTICA label, Altstadt Echo felt it was time to take a step back and explore other facets of deep techno. The specific idea to create early-in-the-night dub techno tracks came during a soundcheck at Tresor in July 2019.
