Tom-Tom Discotec presents: Domingo de Cumbia (DDC) w/ SuSobrino

For over ten years, Domingo de Cumbia has been the fixed address for cumbia in Cologne and the surrounding area. With a unique flair for programming, the collective has built up an amazing legacy and regularly brings international artists with the pulsating rhythms of Latin America to Cologne. On December 13, Domingo de Cumbia is celebrating a special highlight: SuSobrino is coming to JAKI. Born in Bolivia, living in Brussels and musically deeply rooted in the soundscapes of Latin America, Susobrino is an artist who combines rhythm, emotion, curiosity and experimentation. His music moves freely between acoustic and electronic elements - always surprising, always full of energy. Whether in a live set or as a DJ, his performances are captivating and boundless. After an extensive tour through Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico in 2023, Susobrino released his self-titled album "SU SO BRI NO" on the Noannaos label in 2024. Released in four chapters on 7-inch vinyl, the work brings together ten international collaborations and impressively demonstrates how bolero, cumbia, club music, folklore and film scores flow into one another. The release culminated in a sold-out concert at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels - since then he has toured tirelessly through Europe, Latin America and the USA, with appearances at SXSW (Austin, USA), Square Festival (Portugal) and MENT (Slovenia), among others. With his creative food truck stage set, international collaborations and as a curator of events in Europe, Susobrino stands for a new generation of artists who not only play music, but also create spaces for community and exchange. On 13.12.2025, he will bring this energy to JAKI - together with Domingo de Cumbia, who have been celebrating the cumbia community in Cologne for 10 years.
